They should be set to "one". The de facto standard is
abbreviated 9600-8-N-1 meaning 9600bps, 8 data bits, No parity bits,
and One stop bit.

As for the rest, I'm not sure I'm the right person to be helping
you. I don't know anything about Truetime devices, and I do not yet
have my own S1 online.
