No, it will happen as soon as the IPv6 and multicast issues are fixed.
If we had money we could pay somebody to work on these issues and then
we could have a release date.
If HP or Cisco or Sun or IBM or Comcast or ETrade or anybody else wants

This is *the* reference implementation. Maybe someday it will be *a*
reference implementation, but today it is *the* reference
implementation.
And there is no RFC for NTPv4 at this time, just a proposal. See the
